WHAT WE STAND FOR
LYREBIRD ART ASSOCIATION
Lyrebird Art association is a teen-founded non-profit fundraiser that works to raise awareness around mental health and other insufficiently discussed societal issues through music, art, and other creative practices.
Initially begun in 2019, lyrebird art has weathered through the test of time and braved the seas of covid regulations.
Embracing a new year, The Lyrebird flutters its wings again as it prepares for a new flight, ready to mimic and amplify the suppressed voices and under-discussed societal shortcomings. We will do our best to stay informed and educate global citizens and make an effort to create a positive change.
The Lyrebird Concert June 18th 2023
For those who have previously attended a Lyrebird Art concert, welcome back and for those who haven’t, we’re so glad that you will be joining us! This year, the donations will be used to support the Australian Indigenous Education Foundation, engaging and supporting young Indigenous Australians in education programs that build on their strengths and give them hope for the future. As can be seen, this year, we will be donating to causes closer to home as a way of giving back to the native land we live on. We raised a total of $6,467 with ticket retail, donations and the art auction! After paying $2,908 venue hire expenses, we are able to donate $3,559. Thanks to everyone for another great event!
The Lyrebird Concert November 26th 2022
We are delighted to finally announce our concert that will take place on the 26th of November! This year, the donations for the evening will be split. Part of the money will be used to buy pads for indigenous children on Murray Island to gain access to basic computer science and technological knowledge, while the other will be used to support the Gurrumul Yunupingu Foundation. As can be seen, this year, we will donate to causes closer to home to give back to the native land we live on. In the end, we raised a total of $7,072 with ticket retail, donations and the art auction! After paying $2,851 venue hire expenses, we are able to donate $4,221. Thank you so much for an amazing event!
